We will be meeting this Saturday for a mounted meeting at Bella Vista. We will be working on cross country pace and working up and down hills.
I would like to get started right around 10am central time so if you could be there a little early to tack up that would be best.
I have the following people as attending:
Hannah M, Emily F, Hope F, Ei E, Katie D, Sam D, Morgan T, Vasi W, & Meredith O (maybe).
I have heard from a a few people that they may need to leave early. So I think we will all try and ride at the same time and just do groups during the ride.
We will also try and plan our next unmounted meeting then because we need to have an officer election meeting and then the annual meeting.
I forwarded a Mini Trial to everyone as well, if you didn't get it let me know.

Hello All,
We went to rally last week and after all the stress I think all the pony clubbers had a good time! I just wanted to say I was very proud of the job each member did in the barns and helping each other out. Since we had some composite teams I know it wasn't so easy working with other pony club members who didn't want to work. I commend you all for a job well done!
To start the week we had Hannah Martin and Hope Farrar in the dressage rally.
Hannah got a 54.35% on her TL1, 58.93% on her TL2 and 59.38% on her musical freestyle. We like to see that progression! She received a 7th place for her musical freestyle, a 6th for her team overall and an excellent 1st for horse management. I would also like to point out that Hannah only got 1 question wrong on her written test, doing the best on her team. Good Job! Hope got a 60.5% on her Intro Test B. Her team received a 4th for horse management and 2nd Overall. Congrats to Hope in her first ever rally!
Next we had D1 rally where we had Julia Briggs and Morgan Thomas riding.
Julia was in the 8-10yr old Div. A and placed 8th. Morgan was in the 8-10yr old Div.C and placed 6th. REALLY GREAT JOB!
Our D2s rode as well. We had Libby Millsap and Sam Dorminey finishing 6th overall with their team. Libby individually came in 13th overall. Eli Ernst, Vasi Wilk and Katie Millsap's team came in 5th overall and 2nd in horse management! Eli also came in 7th overall individually. This was his and his horse’s first horse trial!!! WOW. Both Vasi and Eli only missed 1 question on their written test...great job guys.
Our Cs were the last rally to go. Emily Farrar, Megan Scott and Katie Dorminey brought home a 6th place for team overall. They also got a 5th place for their horse management in the BN group. Emily was 12th in her USEA division (those divisions were very challenging with 20 + people including professional riders, I happen to be riding in Emily's division) while Megan brought home a 7th.
Megan Scott qualified for BN eventing championships. We are waiting to here if she will make the team. That will be 2 Pennyrile members going to Championships this year as Katie Dorminey will be attending for Quiz.
GREAT JOB EVERYONE! Send me your pictures to put up on the website.

I just wanted to remind everyone that I have not updated the calendar on the website. We had our unmounted meeting last weekend. We discussed what everyone need to bring to their rally. We also went over schedules for rally.
PLEASE MAKES SURE YOU ARE ON TIME FOR ALL RALLY FUNCTIONS!!!!!!!
Let Diane or myself know if you have questions.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE AT RALLY
Lori
Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is staying cool in this hot weather. Make sure your horse is getting the proper amount of cool out time after riding during these drastically hot days. We want to also make sure that our horses have salt blocks at all time for them to get at and if you are working your horse on a regular basis adding an electrolyte supplement might not be a bad idea!
We will be meeting Saturday June 14th at BVEC, 10 am Central time. We will be discussing all you need to know about rally as well as answering any questions you have about rally. We will discuss who needs a kit and who will be taking kits with them to rally. If you are on a composite team please make sure you have talked to those members from other clubs to see if you need to provide anything for the tack stall. We will also be doing stall cards!
See you on Saturday.
Lori
Hello All,
Sorry I have not updated the message board in a while. Things have gotten busy. I have been sending out emails so make sure you check your accounts.
As for spring ratings... getting together to do the ratings ended up being a mess due to weather and then the date restrictions. All spring ratings that wanted to be used for Rally needed to be mailed in by Tuesday. So that being said I would like to congratulate the following people on their new ratings:
Morgan Thomas - D1, Meredith Dubree - D2 , Eli Ernst - D2, Hope Farrar - D2, Libby Millsap - D2, Vasi Wilk - D2, Hannah Martin - D3, Emily Farrar - C1, Katie Dorminey -C2, and Megan Scott - C2.
Everyone did really well, each person has something that they need to work on in their new ratings but they all showed strong knowledge of the rating level!
As for up coming meetings. We are meeting this Friday (April 18), 6pm at the Leitchfield Pizza Hut. It is on Rt 259 in Leitchfield. I cannot remember the name of the shopping plaza that it is in, but if someone else does please post it in the comments. We will be filling out Rally Paper work, so anyone that is planning on going to rally needs to be there or they need to let me know their intensions for rally before the meeting.
Our next mounted meeting is scheduled for May 3rd. We need to discuss what we would like to do for this meeting. It is scheduled to be at BVEC but if anyone would like to have it else where that if fine as well. I am open to suggestions.
Thanks,
Lori
